REVERSING THE RAVAGES OF AGE WITHOUT BREAKING THE BANK
Stem Cell Therapy is at the cutting edge of medicine. Up until now, this revolutionary technology has been an expensive option reserved only for the wealthy. Enter PEMF, the little known technology that is leveling the playing field and ushering the medical field into a new age of miraculous rejuvenation.
Stem Cell Therapy, or SCT, has been around since the 1970's, but in very limited modalities, and used to treat a very small set of diseases. The established modalities consist of introducing external stem cells into the patient, usually through bone-marrow transplantation, enema, or injection.
Although the results in most cases are seemingly miraculous and life-saving, these modalities can have two types of serious complications. The first type is called Graft-versus-Host disease, which is similar to organ rejection (Host-versus-Graft disease). In the context of Stem Cell Therapy, Graft-versus-Host disease, or GvHD, happens sometimes because the external stem cells introduced into the patient cannot be separated from white blood cells, which of course are also external, and these white blood cells sometimes identify the body of the recipient as foreign, and attack it. The second type of complication happens when the external stem cells grow into teratomas, which are really funky tumors with hair and teeth.
The introduction of external stem cells has been necessary up until now because scientists did not know how to re-activate the our own dormant stem cells, also called Adult Stem Cells, that each one of us has in our body. But researchers are now finding out how to do exactly that: re-awaken the precious stem cells that we all have within us, and mobilize them to go where they are needed to re-build, repair, and protect. Initially, scientists thought that these Adult Stem Cells, or ASCs, could only build a limited variety of tissues, but recent evidence shows that ASCs play crucial roles in the repair, replacement, protection, and regulation of a wide variety of cells.
This is a huge breakthrough, because our internal stem cells do not pose the threat of Graft-versus-Host disease, since they are our own, and they do not pose the threat of teratomas, because ASCs are one step further into their differentiation process, when compared to embryonic stem cells, or ESCs. Because ASCs are slightly more differentiated, they cannot clone an entire human body, and they will not generate creepy little teratoma monsters with hair and teeth, but they can still produce a variety of different types of tissue, in a much safer and error-free manner.
But let's get back to the big question: how do we activate our dormant ASCs? So far we have discovered two ways: Transient Relative Hypoxia and Electromagnetic Induction. And while Transient Relative Hypoxia requires costly Hyperbaric Oxygen Chamber installations, Electromagnetic Induction is readily available through PEMF generators, which are portable, and three orders of magnitude less expensive.
Pulsed ElectroMagnetic Field therapy, or PEMF as it is referred to by healthcare providers, has been around since the early 1970's, gradually gaining recognition and adoption throughout the field thanks to its absolute safety and its seemingly miraculous results.
Although the hundreds of clinical studies that have been done on PEMF over the last few decades have demonstrated beyond any doubt the efficacy and safety of this type of therapy, its physiomechanisms were not completely understood. This is all quickly changing as new studies are emerging, revealing that PEMF works on two fronts: improving microvascular blood flow and activating dormant Adult Stem Cells. The ASC activation component is only a recent discovery, pioneered by a brilliant team of researchers led by Valeria Bertagnolo and Monica DeMattei at the University of Ferrara, in Italy. Their findings have been published in the International Journal of Molecular Science, the Stem Cell Reviews and Reports Journal, and in many other scientific publications.
The importance of PEMF Stem Cell Therapy lies on its power to shift the current paradigm of medicine away from the limitations and inadequacies of pharmacology and onto a highly effective strategy of rejuvenation, maintenance, and prevention. And although the scientific knowledge of these healing mechanisms is very recent, PEMF generators are already an established therapeutic modality and are readily available for purchase. Thanks to their absolute safety, the Food and Drug Administration has approved these devices for a wide use, and not just for healthcare providers, but also for individuals who wish to better their health in the comfort and privacy of their own home.
Anyone who understands the value of life extension and realizes that good health will actually bring them more joy than driving a new car, can now make their dreams come true with a couple of clicks of the mouse.
