How Does PEMF Therapy Work?

There are a lot of PEMF devices on the market so here’s what you should understand about the science behind this technology before you buy a new or used PEMF machine. Pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF) technology is a non-invasive and safe method of providing electromagnetic fields to the body for therapeutic purposes.

It has been proven effective for both humans and animals. PEMF is based on the principle that the human body, as well as the bodies of other animals, are electric and magnetic in nature and that these fields can be used to stimulate healing and improve overall health. It is available at many chiropractic offices and other pain clinics or healthcare facilities.

PEMF therapy works by delivering precise, pulsed electromagnetic fields to the body using a device. These electromagnetic fields are similar to the Earth’s natural magnetic field, which has been shown to have a number of health benefits.

Some of the most common conditions that can be treated with PEMF therapy include:

  • Musculoskeletal conditions such as arthritis, joint pain, and muscle soreness
  • Neurological conditions such as chronic pain and neuropathy
  • Cardiovascular conditions such as high blood pressure and poor circulation
  • Respiratory conditions such as asthma and bronchitis
  • Skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis
  • Immune system disorders such as chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia

How PEMF Devices Differ

There are many PEMF devices on the market and they vary in the “gauss” or power of the magnetic energy delivered. Gauss – sometimes noted by the symbol G is a unit of measurement of magnetic induction, technically described as magnetic flux density.

According to Wikipedia: Gauss is part of the Gaussian system of units, which inherited it from the older CGS-EMU system. It was named after the German mathematician and physicist Carl Friedrich Gauss in 1936. One gauss is defined as one maxwell per square centimeter. In 1831, Gauss developed a fruitful collaboration with the physics professor Wilhelm Weber, leading to new knowledge in magnetism (including finding a representation for the unit of magnetism in terms of mass, charge, and time) and the discovery of Kirchhoff’s circuit laws in electricity.

During a typical PEMF therapy session, the device is placed near the area of the body that is being treated. The PEMF device then emits electromagnetic fields that penetrate the body and stimulate the cells and tissues at a cellular level. This stimulation can help to improve circulation, reduce inflammation, and promote the production of ATP, the body’s natural energy source.

Some additional examples of health conditions that PEMF devices can help with include:

Chronic pain: PEMF therapy can help to relieve chronic pain by stimulating the cells in the affected area, reducing inflammation, and improving blood flow to the area.

Inflammation: PEMF therapy can help to reduce inflammation by stimulating the cells and encouraging them to release anti-inflammatory chemicals.

Poor circulation: PEMF therapy can help to improve circulation by stimulating the cells and promoting healthy blood flow throughout the body.

Arthritis: PEMF therapy can help to alleviate the symptoms of arthritis by reducing inflammation and pain in the affected joints.

Fibromyalgia: PEMF therapy can help to reduce the pain and fatigue associated with fibromyalgia by stimulating the cells and promoting healthy function.

Sleep disorders: PEMF therapy can help to improve sleep by reducing anxiety and promoting relaxation, which can help to improve overall sleep quality.

So whether you’re an athlete trying to improve performance or a senior citizen just trying to reduce some knee pain, find out if a PEMF device might help you! PEMF has been shown to be effective in treating a number of health issues in both people and animals and is safe to use with no known side effects.

Our technology simply has more power and works better than the rest. For home, ranch, or healthcare practitioners.
